Commercial Electrical Installation – Macknade Cafe, Faversham

The Macknade Cafe in Faversham Kent is located within an old brick barn building. When the owner decided to renovate the area as a cafe he met with Prolectrical to plan and design the electrical installation. This type of installation is a retrofit. The electrical cables could not be embedded into the existing walls, beams and joists within the building. Therefore the cables had to be enclosed in a neatly designed surface mounted conduit. The owner chose modern industrial style light fittings which compliment the style of the barn. Whilst the conduit is clearly visible it seems to disappear into the background as the barn is finished with eye-catching features such as the bicycle mounted on the wall, shown in the image below. The combined look of conduit, beams, brick, light fittings and creative finishing touches gives the Macknade Cafe a relaxed, laid back feel. The perfect place to sample the wide variety of  tea, coffee and food which can also be purchased in the adjacent food store.
